Fill in the blanks
Sitting in Mrs. Brooks’ classroom and floundering over romantic poetry made me feel like a (1) ______. For despite having studied all of the poetry terms, I still could not assert what Longfellow’s (2) ______meaning was when he repeats “The tide rises, the tide falls” in each subsequent stanza.
