1st Period;

Announcements Check List

Because I am not here today please film in the studio and avoid doing anything too outlandish or silly.

___ 1. DV Player and DVD player on.

____ 2. Mixing board on- aux 1 levels up and master audio up.

____ 3. Log onto network and use the E:/ Drive to save.

____ 4. Turn on all Sony monitors, Camera adapters, and Camera control units in the big box to the left.

_____ 5. Be sure mixer has green light on cameras and orange light on PC. Try to use graphics (On Scene Grabber, Compression, and the square wipe transition).

______6. Be sure to turn on the audio mixer to the left of the editor. This needs to be turned off after filming!

____ 7. Find Sept 21Premier file in the Broadcast E:/ file in my computer (I have also started a movie maker just in case).

____ 8. Intro- “Good morning Robinson”

____ 9. Announcements – all slides

_____ 10. Closing “Good- Bye”

_____ 11. Add transitions

_____12. I added music

_____ 13. Update credits-

_____ 14. Turn off camera, lights in studio and television in studio if used. Turn off Audio Mixer to the left of the computer.

______15 Turn compression off on the mixer

______16. Save as a project file as Sept 21.

_____ 17. Leave your name logged in with adobe up and running. Someone in second period will log you off. Open E:/ Broadcast folder- in Broadcast Curriculum- in Our Broadcast you will find a folder for graphics.

_____ 18. Remember to turn off the audio board mixer to the left of the computer.

2nd Period

Announcement Airing Checklist:

____ 1. Make sure the file for Sept 21 is open and ready to air.- You will not need to air the bulletin board today

____ 2. The bottom green light should be on the Color Bars Column and the orange top light should be ok PC. I labeled these with tape for 2nd. Be sure that the compression button is not lit. If it is press it until it is unlit.

_____ 3. Plug in male audio cable to the headset part of the speakers on the computer. Make sure the audio knob on the right side of the computer is no more than halfway. This cable is ontop of the computer harddrive and is labeled with masking tape.

_____ 4. Turn on the VCR Player closest to the studio door and plug in the coax cable to the back of that power pack on the shelf above the VCR player.- when this is plugged in what you see on the tv is being aired – you should see color bars on the tv screen to the left of the computer. If it is not he color bars try to wipe using the handle or press the button labeled color bars.

_____ 5. When the bell rings press full screen and play and wipe using the handle to have the PC air to the school. What you see on the computer should be on both tvs in the control room.

______6. Double check in the classroom to be sure that audio is not too loud or soft and that they are airing accordingly.

______7. When the announcements are over – TURN EVERYTHING OFF (Computer, monitors, mixer, VCRs, DVD Players)
