WIN GROUP:

WIN Groups will be starting this month. Students have completed beginning of the year MAP testing for Math, Reading, and Language. They have also done their DIBELS assessment. Scores will be sent home for you to review.

RAMS READERS:

This year we are changing the RAMS Reader to have a monthly theme. The month of October, students are encouraged to read books about Animals/Creatures and then fill out a RAMS Reader form. “Don’t Be a Couch Potato, Read!” is our grade level incentive where Mr. Heasley (3rd grade,) Mr. Nowicki (4th grade,) and Mr. Mason (5th grade,) will be Potato Heads that earn accessories as the students read books. Each month, participants who fill out a form will receive a Book-it! Coupon. At the end of the year, the grade level that reads the most will receive a prize as well.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

§  The PTO meeting will be Wednesday, October 12th at 6PM.

§  Picture Day is Thursday, October 27th.

§  Judge Bengel will be here October 31st for Red Ribbon Week.

§  Our Halloween parade and party will be on Monday, October 31st. There will be an information sheet that sent home regarding costumes, parade, and party.

Title I night will be here before you know it. The event will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017. If you have any ideas for entertainment for that night, please contact us! In the past we have had a magician and a basketball player who did tricks. It is a fun night for the kids with prizes, refreshments and information displays from each of the elementary schools. We hope you can attend!
