A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND REVEREND JAMES B. ADAMS, SR., PASTOR OF VICTORY TEMPLE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH IN GREENVILLE COUNTY, FOR ELEVEN YEARS OF FAITHFUL AND DEVOTED SERVICE TO THIS CHURCH AND ITS MEMBERS.
Whereas, Reverend James B. Adams, Sr., a native of Richland County, attended the public schools of Richland County, Morris College, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Theology from the Lutheran Theological Seminary; and
Whereas, in 1973 he was ordained by the Mt. Hebron Association and has pastored: the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ridgeway, South Carolina; St. Paul Baptist Church in Lexington, South Carolina; Bethel Baptist Church in Brevard, North Carolina; and Victory Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina, where he has pastored since 1991; and
Whereas, Reverend Adams currently serves as: Vice Chairman of the South Carolina Progressive Fellowship; Vice President of the Reedy River Congress of Christian Education and as a Congress instructor; Assistant General Manager of WPJM Radio Station; Vice President of the Southern Side Neighborhood Association; Chaplain at Watkin, Garrett, and Woods Mortuary; Chairman, Media and Radio Ministry of the Progressive National Convention; and President of the Baptist Ministers Fellowship of Greenville County; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives take pride in noting that the members of Victory Temple Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate Reverend Adams’ eleventh anniversary as Pastor on July 1, 2001; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize and thank this outstanding man of God as he marks his eleventh anniversary with this wonderful church and extend to him and his parishioners best wishes for a long and continued pastoral relationship which will stay focused on God and his vision in the world. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives recognize and congratulate Reverend James B. Adams, Sr., Pastor of Victory Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville County, for eleven years of faithful and devoted service to this Church and its members.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Reverend James B. Adams, Sr., and to Victory Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina.
