Position Overview

Under the leadership of the Pierce CountyACH Executive Director, the RHIP Council will develop and execute the Regional Health Improvement Plan (RHIP) for the Pierce County Accountable Community of Health (ACH) as a shared learning process. The RHIP Council will set strategy, outcome measures, and value based performance metrics to address systemic and/or policy barriers, and implement strategies to impact health and stability. The Board of Directors will approve RHIP Council proposals to ensure fidelity to the Pierce County ACH mission and financial feasibility.

Basic Accountabilities:

  • Implement process for prioritizing RHIP strategies
  • Prioritize key strategies for the RHIP; recommend projects and benchmarks to Board of Trustees
  • Oversee and ensure RHIP implementation and achievement of objectives, including review and evaluation of outcomes compared to objectives
  • Work with staff to develop structure for Impact Area Teams
  • Review cross sector data from Data/Shared Learning Team to explore key drivers, identify shared measures, evaluate impact, and prioritize investment
  • Coordinate among agencies and Community Based Organizations to reduce duplication of effort and increase collaboration
  • Monitor project value-based performance and provide technical assistance, when necessary
  • Identify key policy and system solutions
