All parent workers please check in with the Meet Director,Jeff Paul at least 15 minutes before your shift! Operation teams will have individual meets starting at 7:45AM.

CHECK IN, START TIMES AND WARM-UPSCheck In: 8 & Unders - Check in with Shepherds starting at 8:15AM. Event Sheets for all swimmers will be posted on the wall outside the bathrooms.

LMYA Camp Set-up:7:30 AM

LMYA Warm Ups: 7:40-8:00 All Lanes

Operation Teams on Deck:7:45 AM

Shepherds Check-In:8:15 AM

Team Meeting & Cheer: 8:45 on the Basketball Courts behind the pool

Meet Start Time: 9:00 AM

Warm ups will end 15 minutes prior to the start of the meet. All swimmers must exit the pool at this time until the official start of the meet. During the meet, one warm down lane will be provided at the shallow end of the pool. This lane is restricted to swimmers ages 11 & up and are to be used for warm up or warm down only during the meet. Any 10 & under warming up during a meet MUST be actively supervised by a coach or Team Marshall. No casual swimming, playing or horseplay is allowed at any time.

LOCATION AND PARKING

The Acalanes High School pool is located at 1200 Pleasant Hill Rd. Lafayette, CA. Please park in a designated parking space. You may be ticketed if you park along the front edge of the school.

FACILITIES

10 competition lanes, 1 warm-up lane

NOTE: NO ALCOHOL can be brought to or consumed at the pool or school. We use the school’s facilities and must strictly adhere to this policy. You will be asked to leave the meet if you violate this rule.

TEAM SET-UPLMYA will set up camp on the pool deck ONLY. Please share tent space, and do not set up elsewhere on campus. The SATs are being administered at Acalanes on Saturday, so no hallway access is allowed. Don’t forget to bring folding chairs, pop up tents (optional),blankets, several towels, sweats, jackets, goggles and swim suits. Our guests will be setting up their camp outside the immediate pool area, and on the basketball courts.

EVENTS

6 & U = 25 yards 7 & 8 = 25 yards 9 - 14 = 50 yards 15 – 18 = 100 yards

Swim Events:

6 & under:Medley Relay, Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke, Butterfly, Free Relay

7 & up: Medley Relay, IM, Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke, Butterfly, Free Relay

Relays & IM: Coaches will assign relays and IMs for this meet.

FLYOVER STARTS WILL BE USED FOR 9-10 AGE GROUPS AND ABOVE.

MEET SCORING & AWARDS

  • Ribbons will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in age groups 12 & under.
  • Individual Events: 1st place – 5 points , 2nd place – 3 points , 3rd place – 1 point
  • Relays: 1st place – 7 points, 2nd place - 3 points

FOOD SERVICELMYA’s Snack Shack will be providing breakfast and lunch items during the meet.

NOTES

Please wear your LMYA T-Shirt and bring our winning attitude!!!

Reminder to all parents of 8 & Under (8&U): Remember you need to mark your own children per the marking instructions sent previously. When notified by the Shepherds, please bring your children directly to the lanes.

For all 8&U swimming in the Medley Relays, please plan to go directly to the lanes from the team meeting (be sure to bring your goggles and cap to the meeting). If swimming BACK or FLY, you go to the Timer side; if swimming BREAST or FREE, go to the Non-Timer side.

Review the Meet Program in advance to check if your swimmer(s) have been assigned to a relay team or IM by the coaches. For this meet, swimmers that have been assigned to IM and had registered for 3 strokes will need to check which of the 3 they have been removed from.
