Leave the Leftovers to La Toque: Chef Ken Frank Announces A Thanksgiving Dinner Menu Featuring Four Courses of Elegant Cuisine and a Wine-Pairing Option
Napa, Calif. (October XX, 2010) – On Thursday, November 25, the renowned La Toque restaurant inside The Westin Verasa, Napa is serving a Thanksgiving dinner befitting of an eatery that boasts a prestigious Michelin Star. Executive chef and owner Ken Frank has prepared a special holiday four-course menu that features traditional Thanksgiving ingredients such as pumpkin and cranberry prepared with an innovative twist.
Thanksgiving dinner at La Toque is $78 per person plus $42 per person for optional wine pairings. The feast begins with Maine Lobster and Cauliflower Horseradish Chowderpaired with 2007 Meursault, Pierre Matrot. Diners then have their choice of Gougeonettes of Dover Sole with Sweet Garlic Puree and Sauce Verte paired with 2009 Sancerre, Domaine Cherrier Père et Fils or Slow Cooked Pork Belly and Pork Shoulder “Confit” with Soft Polenta and Apples served with 2007Lucienne Pinot Noir, Lone Oak Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands.
For the main course, guests can choose either the Espelette Pepper Ricotta Ravioli with Braised Cranberry Beans and Torpedo Onions paired with 2009 Robert Sinskey Vineyards Pinot Blanc, Los Carneros; Grilled Hawaiian Swordfish as a “Pepper Steak” with a Baby Baked Potatoand Jack Daniels Cracked Black Pepper Sauceserved with2007 Yates Family Vineyard “Cheval”, Mount Veeder; or Roasted Willie Bird Turkey with Wild Mushroom Roasted Garlic Gravy, Chestnut Herb Stuffing, Potato Puree and Steamed Broccoli Hollandaise served with 2007 Bohème Pinot Noir, Stuller Vineyard, Sonoma Coast.
As a grand finale to the meal, diners will have their choice of either Bittersweet Chocolate Truffle Cake with Cranberry Orange Compoteand Tahitian Vanilla Bean Ice Cream or Chilled Pumpkin Soufflé with Spiced Caramel and Gingerbread Croutons.
