Assistant Registrar
The Assistant Registrar will support the curatorial staff in the record-keeping, care and handling of the Museum’s Collection of American Art of the 20th and 21st Century with a focus on inventorying, packing and migrating the collection in advance of a major expansion and renovation project. Other duties to include incoming and outgoing loans, condition reporting, coordination of logistical and administrative arrangements, collections database management, art transportation and the planning and installation of exhibitions.
Requirements: BA in Art History, Arts Administration or related field. Two or more years of registration experience in a museum setting with experience in collections management and cataloging. Excellent computer and database skills, communication and organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be a team player. Ability to travel and to work some evenings and weekends. Able to safely handle and lift 50lb objects.
