THE TRIQUETRA AWARD
The Triquetra Award is an annual, perpetual award to recognise and honour an individual or group who has contributed to the Australian Celtic Festival and the understanding of Celtic culture.
The Triquetra Award winner will be announced in May each year during the Australian Celtic Festival at a mutually agreed time and location.
The Triquetra Award is a jointly administered collaboration between the Glen Innes Severn Council and the Glen Innes and District Services Club.
THE TRIQUETRA AWARD CRITERIA
The nomination demonstrates all of the following:
- A long term outstanding commitment and contribution to the Australian Celtic Festival;
- A high level of achievement in their field e.g. performance, Celtic art [any medium], fashion, linguistics, education, history, event development, marketing and administration.
- A strong ongoing relationship, connection or service to Celtic culture.
The nominee may be a volunteer, a paid individual or a group who fulfils the above criteria and whose contribution is considered to be well above and beyond the general expectation of their role.
NOMINATION
- Official nomination forms are available on the Australian Celtic Music Awards website and the Australian Celtic Festival website or can be collected from the Festival Office at the Visitor Information Centre.
- Nominations must be made on the official nomination form and signed by the nominator or a member of the Executive of the group if the nomination is from a group.
- Nominations received after the closing time and date may not be accepted.
- Nominations should detail specific information relevant to the criteria and be restricted to the nomination form. No attachments are to be included.
- If there is no suitable candidate in any given year, no award will be given.
- The Award will be given to a successful candidate once only.
- The Award is a Lifelong Award unless in the opinion of the selection panel it should be withdrawn.
- Unsuccessful candidates may be re-nominated in future years.
- The decision of the Selection panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
