Blog Post #6
(To those who are unaware, this blog post is supposed to be structured following one of “Spitalfield’s Life”’s post, the post in question is found here…
Did you ever stumble upon a timeline (online), and learn about the craziest perspective for Jekyll and Hyde? Very likely that it was class ENG 199 at the University of Oregon and the result from hard work from the students and professor.
As figures ascend the steps of Mackenzie, they ascend until they arrive to the fourth floor where they are soon “oohed and ahhed” by the technological and writing wonders of room 445.
WELCOME TO MY LAST AND FINAL BLOG POST
Gather round now… WELCOME!! How crazy it is to me that we have traversed over 6 blog posts now! I’m excited to “wow” you with my last and final post.
By now you should’ve gathered that the gang and I (the class), have developed a timeline for Jekyll and Hyde. The timeline offers a comprehensive view and interpretation of what it could have been like for Hyde. Since the story is so often told without his perspective, we, as a collective class felt it would be best to tell his story. As time develops and I attend the next class, I will update you, my readers, upon the fate of the timeline and maybe even a link to the line in question. I loved the time line, I found it a creative medium to write, and express maybe some of how I would’ve changed Jekyll and Hyde myself. It was a fun activity, interesting and amiable in the environment our group created. I contributed to lines 6-7 (I won’t spoil it for you yet, unless I get further confirmation that I cannot link to the timeline), but I essentially wrote about Hyde’s imprisonment within Jekyll during the dinner party and how he killed Sir Danvers Carew. It is far better than the one I created, for that wasn’t a collective view, as this updated one shares the full classes. By reorganizing the sequence of the text I learned that great literature can sometimes lie in what hasn’t been said. I won’t offer an explanation for the previous claim because sometimes it’s best left unsaid ?. The visual elements of the timeline I feel distract from it, as I love the timeline for the creative process and the writing. I like to let my mind create the setting for me, for then reading is pleasurable. This is why I developed this tone for my blogs, and instead chose to write, rather than film a vlog. I hope you have all personally gained something from my blog and I thank you for taking the time.
THANK YOU AGAIN,
MAYBE SEE YOU SOON, WHO KNOWS, IT’S A CRAZY WORLD
FOR THE LAST TIME
HUMBLY,
