Registration till 9.00 (9AM) 22/02/2015.Start of the competitions 22/02/2015 at 10.00 (10AM)
The stadium is located near the railway station "Kiev-Passenger." Address stadium: Povitroflotskyi Avenue 10A. The nearest metro station - "Vokzalnaya".
Format: Epee men – individual competitions.
Engarde will be used to start the competition.
There will be one round of pools followed by Direct Elimination.
Seeding: For the first round of pools fencers are seeded on the basis of any relevant data to give as accurate a seeding as possible.
Where less than five fencers will be included in the same age category, their participation will be combined with adjacent age group, but individual detection results.
Rounds of Pools:
1) In the rounds of pools all bouts are to five hits or three minutes of fencing time.
2) If the score is equal at time, the one minute priority rule will apply.
Direct Elimination
1) There will be no elimination of fencers from the rounds of pools
2) Bouts at Epee will be till 10 hits in two periods of 3 minutes with a 1 minute break after the first 3 minutes.
Advantage (Handicap) of 10 years = 1 hit.
Organizers have the right to change the formula if it will improve the quality of the competition.
AGE GROUPS
There are 5 age groups:
V0= 30+: 1985-1975; V1= 40+: 1975-1965; V2= 50+: 1965-1955
V3= 60+: 1955-1945; V4 70+: 1945 and over.
Requirements of equipment - in accordance with the requirements approved by the Bureau NFFU of 16.07.2004 and FIE.
Costs for and participation in Tournament
Award ceremony (diplomas, medals, prizes), room rental by the Union of Veterans Fencing Ukraine and sponsors.
Prizes: from firms «Allstar» (Germany), «STM» (Ukraine). The costs of secondment athletes by the sending organizations.
Awarded to athletes who rank as 1 to 8th place in the general category (OPEN), as well as 1 to 8th place - in each age category.
Entry fee: 120 UAH/per sportsmen
