BEST PRACTICES:
- Bookmarks–Still in same place
- CCH tickmarks- I've never used this or know where it is located.
- Tool panel is on the right hand side of document is a preset of shortcut categories. You can add/edit shortcuts by clicking Tools at top left hand corner. This menu shows all tool categories available. Once a tool is selected you can switch between different tools by using drop down menu of shortcuts created.
- Comment & markup tools–appears on the top of document instead of right side. Can click and grab commonly used tools to tool bar.
- Sticky note - Same place
- Stamp tool – Same place
- Underline text tool – Same place
- Cross out text tool – Same place
- Text Box Tool –Same place
- Callout Tool, Cloud Tool, Arrow Tool, Rectangle/Oval/shape Tool, Line Tool –-All are now included in drawing tools drop down menu. Shape is triangle, circle, square overlapped
- Pencil/Pencil Eraser Tool – Same place
- Combining PDF’s - Tools > Combine files (you can also create a shortcut)
- Displaying multiple pages - Still in same place
- Extracting/deleting pages - Organize Pages tool (can be done when page thumbnails pane is displayed)
- Insert pages –Organize Pages tool/ Enhance Scan toolbar (can be done when page thumbnails pane is displayed)
- OCR text recognition (Optical Character Recognition) - Enhance Scans toolbar
- Ordering pages - Organize Pages tool (can be done when page thumbnails pane is displayed)
- Password protecting documents - File>Proprieties > Security. Also under Protection tool shortcut
- Printing with or without comments
- File > Print
- Under comments & Forms select what you would like to print

- Referencing PDF documents- I don't know how to do this
- In CCH Engagement, you can insert a workpaper reference into a PDF by right clicking anywhere on the PDF and clicking “Insert WP Reference”. This will create a text box with the workpaper reference # inside. If you right click on the text box and select “Open WP Reference”, it will open the workpaper that was referenced. If the referenced workpaper does not have unique reference #, it will prompt to choose which workpaper to open.
- Rotate pages - Organize Pages tool (can be done when page thumbnails pane is displayed)
- View > Rotate Pages - Rotates entire document
- Stamps - Are compatible with DC - location on local drive needs to be updated on everyone's computer

- Red/Blue checkmarks
- File path for stamps to be added: C/Users/YourName/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Acrobat/2015/Stamps
- Watermarks - Edit PDF toolbar
Other Notes:
Page Controls - Min/Max Page, % view, fit to one page/ fit to page & enable scrolling. This is now at the bottom of the page hidden. Once you scroll to the bottom of the page it will appear. This can be locked to the main toolbar.
Split Screen - Allows you to view/ edit 2 different sections of the PDF at once. - Window > Split
Snapshot Tool - Edit > Take Snapshot
When opening some documents the left side panel (which included page thumbnails, bookmarks and attachments) is hidden. There is a small arrow in the middle of the left side to open this.
