This machine has been fully rebuilt and will perform to manufacturers tolerances. The rebuild includes complete new Siemens 840D sl NC with Safety Integration, Drives and Motors, and full electrical rewire. Measuring systems upgraded to up-to-date Heidenhain Absolute Endat02 systems. All mechanical elements such as ball-screws, linear guide-ways and bearings and axis covers have been replaced or refurbished. Auxiliary equipment such as pumps, conveyors and tool changer have been refurbished, plus a comprehensive professional repaint.

Automatic tool changer
An 80 tools disk type magazine is installed on the left side of the gantry. The magazine is placed horizontally so it presents the tools in a vertical position.

Lubrication system and tool cooling system
Flood coolant exterior and centre tool with 40 LPM at 5 bar. Tank capacity of 1500 l with centrifugal filtration. System will be able to run independently from the machine controls. “Vortex” cooled air system blown on tool.
Chip conveyors
This consists of 3 chip conveyors installed along the bed.
Renishaw probing system
1 probe with radio transmission type MP14 including part probing sub-programme cycles and machine geometry test sub-programme cycles. The probes can be stored in the tool magazine of the machine.
Tool checking system by laser
1 tool length and diameter control device by laser type micro-blum. The system will provide optionally: Tool length checking, tool radius checking, tool profile checking in rotation.
M/C surrounding panels
The machine area is surrounded by protective panels of 2000mm height. These panels can be equipped with noise absorption material in their lower half.
Continuous rotation on “C axis”
The ram can be equipped with a collector seal allowing a continuous rotation of the “C axis” of n x 360º.
