1998-2001 / UNDPTOKTEN Consultant/ UNDP National Project Coordinator/Director of the Development Planning Unit,Gaza Strip
  1. Managed the activities of the following project: “InstitutionalCapacityBuilding of the Planning Process in the Palestinian Authority.”
  2. Monitored the project implementation and expenditures, and drafted periodically financial, progress and evaluation reports.
  3. Contributed to the production of the five-year development plan for Palestine. The plan document draws development policies for various social and economic sectors.
  4. Recommended strategies and policies for the social sectors in the development plan based on field research and deliberate discussions with line ministries.
  5. Reviewed policy papers and sector strategies produced by line ministries (social affairs, health, education, … etc) to make sure they are consistent with the plan’s policies and priorities.
  6. Translated the Plan’s policy directives into feasible project proposals.
  7. Liaised with international agencies (WHO, UNRWA, UNSCO), and line ministries; and organized workshops at different stages to discuss the plan’s implementation.

2.Played a key role in composing and writing the annual WHO reports entitled: ‘’The Health Conditions of the Arab Population in the OccupiedArabTerritories, including Palestine’’ to be presented to five consequent World Health Assemblies: 48, 47, 46, 45, & 44 in Arabic language.
