A LEONARDO DA VINCI CONTACT SEMINAR

Brugge (Belgium), 7th November – 10th November 2011

You are invited to attend our Contact Seminar to meet, share ideas and develop applications for funding with prospective European partners for all Leonardo actions.

Background

The Contact Seminar is a networking event organised byEPOS vzw, the Flemish National Agency responsible for the implementation of the European Union’s Lifelong Learning Programme, of which Leonardo da Vinci is a part. The Seminar’s aim is to provide organisations involved in the social economy an opportunity to address common themes related to vocational education and training.

There will be approximately 70 participants from across Europe.

At the event participants will have the opportunity to:

gather information on all Leonardo da Vinci actions;

meet with prospective project partners;

receive advice on how to transform project ideas into good quality applications for funding.

The working language of the seminar will be English.

Participants

The seminar is open to all organisations involved in the social economy (enterprises, public authorities, ngos, co-operatives, training providers, …) who want to work with other European partnerswithin the scope of a Leonardo da Vinci-project.

Contact Seminar Fee

The fee for participation is €500. This includes accomodation for 3 nights, all planned meals / drinks and cultural activities during the seminar. This fee will have to be paid to EPOS vzw by 30th September 2011 at the latest. Please be advised that, if you cancel your participation after 6th October for reasons other than of force majeure, a cancellation fee of 100 € will be charged.

Preparatory Visits

Participants can apply for a Preparatory Visit grant from the National Agency in the country where you are based. The grant is a contribution towards travel and the Contact Seminar Fee.

Please apply for this grant as soon as possible (so that you know that your request has been accepted by your National Agency before the online registration).

Registration

You will be required to complete an online registration form to confirm your attendance. This form will be available on from 1st July 2011. The registration will close on 31st August 2011 (or earlier if the maximum number of participants is reached).

Travelling by Air

From Brussels Airport you can travel to Brugge by rail. The journey takes about 1.30 hours. You will have to change trains at Brussels North Station. (More information is available on the train operator website

Travelling by Car

The hotel is near the E40 motorway (Brussels – Ghent – Calais). A free car park is available at the hotel.
