Job Title: Events & Collections Driver

Job Summary:
To Plan and organise your individual routes for the distribution and collection of the charities static collection tins, donated goods / donations and to distribute or attend other external fundraising events.
Main Duties:
  • You will work to a determined plan in line with commercial and promotional objectives of each activity. Attending, assisting and implementing, sourcing, writing and collating necessary directed requirements within the fundraising team aiding the collection of donations of static and manned tins and event fundraising.
  • To assist with the collection of clothes and items at manned collection points and from donors
  • To work with the Events & Volunteers Coordinator to ensure the support and delivery of all other external fundraising activities
  • Working hand in hand within the admin support team, your responsibility will be to achieve the agreed levels of performance in line with the requirements of the role and your personal development

General Responsibilities:
Charity Vehicle Fleet:
  • Ensuring that all vehicles are driven in a safe and courteous manner
  • Maintaining a high level of cleanliness of the Charity vehicles
Implement agreed duties:
  • Plan and organise your dedicated collection tin routes and manage these routes to ensure maximum efficiency and return.
  • To attend and support fundraising events in areas including; retail locations, public areas and specific event areas as directed by your line manager
  • To attend manned collection points in specific allocated locations on an ad-hoc basis
  • The collection of donated good including clothes and other items from agreed postcodes
  • Attend as and when is required any fundraising and promotions events in support of external activities
  • Assist in the coordination of activities with the events coordinators and events and logistics manager
  • Report any incidents of misuse of donations and missing collections
  • Manage and update current fundraising through Donorflex as and when required
  • Record your activities through the weekly rota form
  • The sourcing of new fundraising opportunities
To work and achieve performance levels within the defined role.
To develop working relationships with a view to assist and communicate with the admin team and fundraising team.
Preparation and attendance and support for events, exhibitions and other activities to market Midlands Air Ambulance to other organisations and the public.
Assist with fundraising activities which in addition to the fundraising element generate public and brand awareness of the charity.
To support public relations strategy to support and raise public relations strategy to support and raise public awareness of the charity as and when required including:
  • Distributing new collection tins
  • Sourcing of new fundraising initiatives
  • Sharing of information through your line manager
Provide the existing and potential donors with information packs and materials on he benefits of working with the Charity as and when required.
To work as an integral part of the team and across all MAAC teams.
To work in accordance with documented procedures necessary to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Quality Management System and documentation. To actively participate and support the charities quality framework (PQASSO).
To carry out duties necessary for the future development of the role and the charity as determined by the role and as directed by your line manager and travel on to support events and to promote Midlands Air Ambulance activities as and when is required.
Objectives and Key Performance indicators will be agreed in advance of each period. The success of your performance within the role will be measured against these areas.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety and governance arrangements appertaining to local codes of safe practice in the Charity.
