Dear SSA,

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding with the MinistrySafe website changes. Although we were unaware of these site changes until they happened, we have been working with MinistrySafe to problem-solve some of the glitches that our churches are experiencing and to get you helpful information for moving forward.

Here are a few tips we hope you will find helpful while coming to and navigating the new site.

  1. MinistrySafe actually has 2 websites now. The public website has been updated with a new look. You may still want to use this site to view “Resources” such as helpful articles, blogs, etc., or to refresh yourself on each of the 5 components of “The Safety System.” The new, secure site for MinistrySafe members is This is the site where you will track the progress of your volunteers, request/review background checks, etc.
  2. If you are having trouble logging on to the member-only site, try to clear your internet browser by deleting your cache and cookies. Usually this action can be found with “History” or “Internet Options” on your browser options. If this does not help, then send a request to MinistrySafe on the Log In page for a password reminder/new password.
  3. After you log-on, there will be an introductory video to the new site. Also, the new “Help Center” section has several topics for troubleshooting any problems or questions. However, some secondary features are not available yet, like the Documents section.
  4. All your information is still secure although some data is still “migrating” and therefore you may not see it completely yet. For instance, if you manually entered background check information from a different company other than Skillful Screening Solutions, that data may not be seen yet. However, we have been told that you don’t have re-enter that information manually, that it will be viewable soon.
  5. If you did run a background check with Skillful Screening Solutions after April 15, please know that it will take longer than usual to process and view. Unfortunately, this is just the drag on the system right now. You may call Skillful Screening Solutions directly at (816) 463-3616 and arrange a way to access the background checks directly with them by a log-in on their website.

At this point, we continue to ask for your patience as you familiarize yourself with the new website look and content. MinistrySafe is a trusted and vital organization. Ultimately, we want them to be successful in their mission of keeping kids safe, just as we want you to be successful in the same mission. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Rev.
