Holland Tunnel:

NJ Turnpike South to Newark Airport exit 14. Take 78 West (local exits) to exit

50B (Vauxhall Road) Turn right, proceed to 3rd light, turn right onto Valley Street

Proceed to 3rd light, turn left onto Baker Street. Club is on the left.

Lincoln Tunnel:

NJ Turnpike - South to Newark Airport exit (see above)

Garden State Parkway – South:

Exit 142B onto Route 78 West. Go 1 mile to 1st exit 50B (Vauxhall Road).

Pay toll at Union Toll Plaza – Exit 142B

Take 78 West to exit 50B (Vauxhall

Road) (see above)

Route 78 – East:

When the road splits – Stay to the right (Local exits) Take the 2nd exit 49B

(Maplewood). Stay in right lane and use 1st jughandle to make a left turn onto Valley Street. Proceed to 4th light, turn left onto Baker Street. Club is on the left.

Legal Fund

The following is a brief explanation of the Rules and Regulations of the Legal Fund Committee.

The Committee consists of (3) members each serving a three (3) year term. The purpose of the Legal Fund is to provide working code officials who are members of our association for at least one full year, assistance in defraying any legal expenses incurred in the defense of his/her official position. IT IS NOT INTENED TO PAY ALL LEGAL COSTS. The request for assistance must be in writing to a member of the committee who will meet to evaluate the potential impact that a decision may have on code enforcement. Any denial by the committee may be appealed to the Executive Board. If assistance is granted, a one hour meeting is scheduled with our associations attorney. The cost is paid from our attorney’s retainer fee. If it is decided to proceed, the committee may pay for costs up to three thousand dollars ($3000.00). Any additioal costs will require a majority vote by both the committee and Executive Board. Once again it is time to renew your membership for 2014. Remember that if you do not renew your membership by November 1st, as per the By-Laws, you will not be included in

Change in Location

The annual meeting and luncheon will be held at Bally’s Park Place in Atlantic City on November 18,19 and 20 2014. NJBOA has blocked out rooms. The room rates are $80.00 per night plus 14% room tax, $3.00 NJ State Tourism Promotional Fee and $7.00 Room Assessment Fee.

All rooms must be booked through NJBOA. I will have a sign up list at every meeting till the cutoff date of October 1st, 2014 after that date you will not be entitled to the discounted rate. All PO’s must be at Bally’s by September 1st, 2014.
