- Lesson Topic or Theme:50 States of the USA
- Lesson Objective:
- The students will be able to correctly match class-identified characteristics with the corresponding state.
- Instructional Technique:Students will participate in a whole class discussion narrowing in onseven characteristics of the 50 Sates. They will work independently to compete a 7 question quiz on the computer, that will only focuses on 7 of the 50 states with their corresponding characteristics.

- Worksheet of Map
- Theoretical Perspective: This information is important for the students to learn because it allows them to understand the 50 states in the US, along with specific characteristics of those states. This will also allow students to become more confortable and more advanced at using their resources (computers).
- Procedure:
- Introductory activity:
- Students will participate in a whole class discussion on seven characteristics of the 50 states. Ex. State birds, state flowers, state trees, state nicknames, state cities, state capitals, and state’s bordering states.
B. Step-by-step:
- The teacher will pass out the map worksheet that corresponds to the quiz.
- Students will be provided with the website link and will begin independently completing the 7 question quiz on the computers.
- Closure:
- While completing the quiz, students will fill out the map that corresponds to the questions, which they will keep and use for a later test on the 50 states.
- Adaptations for different learners:
- Students with learning disabilities who struggle with reading, and non-native speakers will receive assistance from the teacher if needed. The teacher will read the questions and answer options out loud.

Objective:

I will know my students have met my objective once I have seen their completed 7 questionquiz.

-Students might click on random answers without reading the questions.
- Some students might take longer than others with completing the quiz, therefore running out of time.
