CITY OF TURKU
Turku is the oldest town in Finland and the former capital of Finland. The population of Turku is 185 836 in 2016. The Turku Archipelago is one of Finland´s most stunning natural phenomena – 20 000 islands stretching out into the sea from the city of Turku.

Travelling to Turku
Turku can be reached by air e.g. via Helsinki, Copenhagen, Stockholm or Gdansk. Turku airport is located some 8 kilometers from Turku. The journey from Turku airport to the center of Turku takes 20 minutes and the fare is approximately 17 €. If your flight arrives at Helsinki‐Vantaa
airport, there is a regular ExpressBus connection straight from Helsinki airport to Turku. The journey takes about 2,5 hours.
