As Director, Regional research Station, Kheri
- As Director, Regional Research station, Kheri since April, 1992 to August, 1998,
looking after overall administrative, financial matters, development and
management of RRS, Kheri. This farm has an area 100 acres for research and seed production and large number of field staff and official staff.
- Budget preparation of various scheme and utilization of funds. There was three scheme/projects in operation and given below:
a) NARP strengthening of Regions Capabilities of Agricultural Universities-Regional Research Stations, Zone II and III of Punjab under PAU, Ludhiana, Kheri center- Plan 44
b) Sugarcane Research Scheme (Part-C) NP-25
c) Strengthening of Seed Production Programme at RRS, Kheri (RF-18)
- Strengthened the Kheri farm infrastructurally. There was not proper agricultural implements, trolley, and tractor, furniture for staff, generator facility and vehicle which is required to carry the seed from Kheri to other stations and vice versa.
- Purchased the above said implements and material such as Seed drill, Disc plough, Seed grader, Trolley, Tractor (575 DI), Pre-cleaner, Computer, Printer and CVT, Refrigerator, Cooler (two), Generator set, Oil tanker, Office furniture, Gur making equipment, Two spray pumps, Iron gates for stores, Balance (1 Q), One set discs, Leveler, Weights, Gypsy Maruti, Furniture for the Office of Director.
- Strengthened the Kheri farm economically and increased the budget provision from 2,91,598 (1991-92) to 8,80,532 (1995-96) under the Revolving Fund scheme which helped to meet the requirement of research and seed production programme
- Development of projects and conducting of agronomic and breeding trials of sugarcane and other crops
- Strengthened the seed production programme of various crops and produced large quantity of seed of various categories (breeder, foundation, certified, TL seed etc.) of different crops and also monitoring of seed production, processing and storage at Kheri farm.
- Linkage with crop breeder to enable monitoring of quality of seed production of various crops.
- Strengthened the work of juice analysis of sugarcane with the development of laboratory
- Attending the meetings related to seed production and review meetings of research
- Utilization of man power efficiently
- Monitroing the adaptive trials at farmers field and also to supplied the seed of sugarcane
- Survey of sugarcane crop
- Participation as experts in the exhibitions of district level camps, at farmers gathering, Kisan Melas and Kisan divas
- Educate the improved technology of sugarcane to the visiting farmers at the Kisan Melas, Kisan divas and Kheri farm
