CALL TO ORDER
Boyd Petty called the meeting to order at 9:40 am at the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office in Baton Rouge. Boyd
Agenda:
- Opening Remarks/Pledge of allegiance
- Review/acceptance of last meeting's minute
- A motion was made by Jeff Okun and seconded by Gerald Faulk to accept the minutes of our last meeting, April 12, 2012. The motion passed unanimously.
- Review of Diebold Courses for Initial Certification for Bank Auxiliary Endorsement by Joshua Hall and Greg Avant.
- a. Diebold VAT Systems
b. Diebold ATM Bootcamp Gen II (Provisory known as Bootcamp Gen I and Opteva Hardware)
c. Diebold First Line Service
- A motion was made by Jeff Okun and seconded by Gerald Faulk to accept the Dieblod Vat System, ATM Boot Camp Gen II, First Line, and Opteva Service as an Initial Certification for Bank Locking Auxiliary Endorsement. The motion passed unanimously.
- Review of National Locksmithing Institute Course
a. Certified Institutional Locksmithing Course
- A motion was made by Jeff Okun and seconded by Chad Himmel to accept the National Locksmithing Institute Course as a CEU . The motion passed unanimously.
- Review of Oklahoma State University Life Safety Code Course
- A motion was made by Frank LeDoux and seconded by Danny Brown to accept the Oklahoma State University Life Safety Code Course as an equal to the NFPA 101 Life Safety course required for qualifiers. The motion passed unanimously.
- Discussion of Automatic Door Opening Devices
- Boyd ask Chad Himmel to contact the Tim Borgard to come and discuss this matter on the October 18th meeting.
- Discussion of Revising NICET 2 requirement for Fire Suppression, Pre-Engineered, and Fire Alarm Non-Required Qualifiers
- Review of LSPP Advisory Board Policy and Procedures
- New Business
Boyd ask Danny when will there be a test developed for the LAFAA Basic or the Intermediate Fire Alarm System Course. Danny will have an answer by the next meeting on October 18th meeting.
- Danny Brown made a motion that Tech that has already taken AFAA Basic or the Intermediate Fire Alarm System Course before Jan 1, 2013 would be accepted without an exam. Beginning Jan 1, 2013 must pass proctored exam seconded by Gerald Faulk. The motion passed unanimously.
- Closing
Alan Laguna made a motion to close the meeting at 12:25 the motion was seconded by Chad Himmel Motion passed unanimously.
