Missed Appointments/Did not Attend
During August there were a total of124missed appointments or DNAs.
35were GP appointments and 89 were nurse appointments
Not only are missed appointments a huge drain on NHS services but had these appointments been cancelled, they could have been offered to other patients. Missed appointments also lead to an increase in waiting times for routine appointments due to patients rebooking.
Please could you make sure you cancel any appointment that is not required. You can do this in a number of ways: - you can call us, drop in, call our 24 hour automated telephone system or login to Patient Access.
We can send text reminders for your appointments but please make sure you inform us if your mobile number changes. You will be sent a text reminder as soon as you book your appointment and also 2 days beforehand.
