Dear Basic Skills Parents,
The JSC annual spring show will be held on Saturday, April 9th at Treadwell Arena. This program is put together by the Juneau Skating Club to showcase all skaters that have participated in the Basic Skills and Figure Skating program throughout the year. Any skater who has taken a Basic Skills class in sessions 1, 2, 3 OR 4 is welcome to be a part of the Basic Skills group number! We hope your skater will join us for this fun event. There are many preparations underway, but here are the most important items:
1) Registration: All interested skaters must register online by Wednesday, March 23rd (see below for details).
2) Advertisement sales must be completed by March 23rd (see below for details).
3) Practice is mandatory. The practice schedule will be published soon so you can add the practices to your schedule. We anticipate only 1 hour on ice and 1 hour off ice.
4) Tickets are available as described below. Ask any figure skater or coach about getting pre-sale tickets.
a. Pre-sale tickets are Adults $10, Youth (age 4-12) $6 through March 21ST. Contact Liz Balstad during Club Ice, Beginning Figure Skating or Basic Skills lessons; if you need tickets and have not seen Liz, you can reach her at 209-0359 or by email at .
b. Through the JAHC Adults $12, Youth (age 4-12) $7. www.jahc.org or purchase at the JACC through the day of the show.
c. At the Door Adults $15, Youth (age 4-12) $8
5) One complimentary ticket per skater will be issued for one show.

Funds generated by registration fees and ad sales will be used to defray costs of the recital (ice rental for practice and show, travel for visiting skaters, props, etc.). The fee also includes food and snacks between shows.
The registrations fees are as follows:
BASIC SKILLS
Single-skater families:
Registration fee $25 OR
Sell $25 in advertisements (reg. fee waived—see “Advertising”, below)
Multi-skater families:
Registration fee $50 for two or more skaters in a family OR
Sell $50 in advertisements (reg. fee waived—see “Advertising”, below)

Advertising:
Skaters are encouraged to solicit advertising to be placed in the recital program booklet. If you would like to do this, you can download the sponsorship letter from the JSC website (www.juneauskatingclub.org). A copy is attached for your convenience. A list of advertisers that have already been solicited is also found on the JSC website.
