HB334 To amend Section 11-91A-7, Code of Alabama 1975, to authorize the Local Government Health Insurance Board to provide additional types of optional health coverages or services, including the administration of the payment of health care services for on-the-job injuries on behalf of employer participants in the Local Government Health Insurance Program.

HB344 To add Section 36-27-6.5 to the Code of Alabama 1975, relating to retirement for members of the Employees' Retirement System; to provide that a local employer participating in the ERS could elect to provide the same retirement benefits given to Tier I plan members to its Tier II plan members.

HB358 Relating to the membership of the Environmental Management Commission of the Alabama Department of Environmental Management; to amend Section 22-22A-6, Code of Alabama 1975; to change the qualifications for one member of the commission to require the member to be an individual who is certified by the National Ground Water Association certification program or be a professional geologist.

HB368 Relating to wages; to prohibit an employer from paying any of its employees at wage rates less than those paid to employees of the opposite sex for substantially similar work; to require an employer to affirmatively demonstrate that a wage differential is based upon one or more specified factors; to prohibit an employer from discharging or in any manner discriminating against or retaliating against an employee for the enforcement of these provisions; to provide for enforcement of the bill; to provide that an employer may not prohibit an employee from disclosing the employee's own wages, discussing the wages of others, inquiring about another employee's wages, or aiding or encouraging any other employee to exercise his or her rights under these provisions; and to require an employer to maintain a record of wages paid to his or her employee for a certain amount of time.
