The future tense – le future immédiat

It is used to describe what you or someone is /are going to do.

There are 2 parts to it:

The present tense of the verb to go “aller” / the infinitive of the verb that you want to use
Je vais I’m going
Tu vas You’re going
Il va He, she is going / manger

jouer
étudier
visiter

Je vais visiter = I'm going to visit

Ca va etre super/ affreux

It’s going to be great/terrible

Samedi, je vais aller au cinéma avec mes amis

This Saturday I’m going to go to the cinema with my friends

Useful time expressions:

demain – tomorrow

Le weekend prochain – Next weekend

La semaine prochaine – Next week

L’année prochaine – Next year
