1.Daily 5 -Partner Reading
2. Partners take turns reading their books to each other.
3. The partner listening will share one thing from the book after his partner finishes reading. / 1. Students work in small groups or whole class
2. Practice scripts made from guided reading, read alouds, or shared reading.
3. Use available on-line scripts
4. Practice to perform for each other
5. Perform once a week or bi-weekly. / 1. Students practice reading poems as a class, small groups, partners, and individually.
2. Small groups, partners, or individuals will perform for the class once a week. / 1. Choose a leveled passage appropriate for the class.
2. Hand out the text & project one for all to see.
3. Read it to the students and discuss meaning.
Read chorally & echo read
4. Pair students-higher & lower readers.
5. Higher reader reads the passage once. / 6. Then lower reader reads the passage. Reader one can supply words as needed.
7. Set the timer for one minute while the higher reader reads as much as he can in one minute.
8. Set the timer again. Lower reader reads as far as he can in one minute.
9. Repeat to increase WPM.
