Using the Thesaurus

The thesaurus provides a list of synonyms for the text you look up, and highlights the one that is closest to what you have typed, based on the context of the sentence.

Look up words in the thesaurus

1. In Lesson #5, select or type a word for which you want to find a synonym, an antonym, or related words.

2. On the Tools menu, point to Language, and then click Thesaurus. (Or press Shift + F7)

3. Select the options you want. There is a dictionary option associated with the Look Up button.

4. Click on the Replace button when you find the word you want.
