January 2012
Dear GPCP Families,
Grant Park Cooperative Preschool’s highly anticipated annual auction will be held February 25th at Grant Park’s stylish new redevelopment, the Jane.
We have put together this online Auction packet that includes information and forms for you to fill out and return no later than February 3, 2012 by either emailing them to or dropping them in the designated 2012 Auction bin set-up in the offices at each GPCP campus.
As a reminder, each family must donate at least two items that would realistically sell at the auction for a combined total of $200 or more. Families may make a contribution of $250 in lieu of the items donated. Failure to fulfill this requirement by the donation deadline will result in a fine of $250 that would be added to the next billing period.
Families may contribute donations from businesses they have contacted or may contribute personal items or services. Get Creative! Some ideas for donations include vacation homes; spa and restaurant certificates; family photo sessions; interior design, landscaping services; museum memberships; event tickets, etc.
The following information is included in this packet:
· Save the Date
· Donor Letter/Sponsorship Details and Donation Form
· Ticket Order Form
· Child Care Form
· Auction Volunteer Sign Up
· Businesses Donors
Thank you for your time and support,
The Auction Committee

The event is open to the public and will be marketed heavily to intown neighborhoods through social media and in print. Sponsors are welcomed to celebrate with us while providing direct access to over 200 potential consumers, and to display signage and product sampling at the event. Give back to the community by supporting a school that has educated our littlest neighbors for over ten years. The school is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization; your donations are tax-deductible.
About the school:
Grant Park Cooperative Preschool is a community of learners comprised of children, parents, educators and community members. Our school is distinct as a cooperative that values integral parent participation. We serve the diverse populations of historic in-town neighborhoods such as Grant Park and Cabbagetown and surrounding areas.
Our school’s identity is framed by substantive commitment to advocacy for young children’s right to high quality education and joyful childhood. We foster an atmosphere of mutual respect in an enriched learning environment supported by many forms of parent participation.
