Participation: / Players must be 5 years old or older on the day of the event. (this event is suitable for kai grades)
Format: / All participants will be split into groups of 5’s on the day. Weights may be spot checked on the day.

JudoScotland reserve the right to close the entry prior to the published closing date if themaximum entry number is reached.
Eligibility and Rules: / All entrants must produce proof of a current JudoScotland License or affiliated membership
Super Hi’ 5 rules:
NageKomi: 1 min
TRI judo techniques – Judge will award points to the players as a team.
Randori: 1.30 min
2 points for Ippon score or TRI-Judo Super Hi’ 5 technique of the day.
1 points for any other successful throw.
Judges “Ganbatte” (Try your Best)
Judges can award a “Ganbatte” point at the end of the 2.30 mins for effort or fighting spirit. This point can be awarded individually or to both players.
- All participants will be guaranteed designated mat time.
- No penalties; judges should openly encourage positive discussion with players throughout the event as required.
- There is no winner; all points earned are ACCUMULATIVE.
Reward System / All players will receive a memento of the event.
General: / 1. Video recording of the activities may take place at this event; photographs may also betaken for promotional purposes including publication on websites and social media. By signing the entryform you indicate your acceptance of these conditions and parents (in the absence of anyexpressed objection) provide their consent to the taking and use of photos/videos.
2. The Decision of the EventOrganiser is final.
3. The event is run in line with JudoScotland/BJA Child Protection Policy
4. All information supplied will only be used for event organisation purposes.
5. Bring suitable footwear (e.g. trainers), as the Mad About Judo session will occur off the mat.
Signing of Forms: / Entry forms must be completed by the child’s parent or legal guardian (if the child is under16 yearsof age) Coaches or club officials must not sign forms.
MatsideCoaching: / All coaching will be in a relaxed fashion and we ask all coaches and club representatives to encourage all participants at every opportunity.
