FIELD TRIP ACTIVITY
SWIMMING
OBJECTIVE
This fun activity provides a healthy outlet for participants to get to know each other outside of school.
MATERIALS
Swimsuit, Towel. Optional: Goggles, Snacks, Water.
TIME
Approximately 1 to 2 hours
INSTRUCTION
Obtain parent permission from student’s parent. Forms may be downloaded from: http://portal.sfusd.edu/template/default.cfm?page=forms&dept=10207
To swim at public pools for free you may send a letter on school letterhead requesting a fee waiver for the group to the person listed below. In the letter include the number of people, the date, and time. Review the pool schedule prior to sending your letter to confirm that the pool is not reserved and is available for recreation swim during the requested visit. All public school groups are granted this waiver upon request.
