INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION FOR THE JOY WILMARTH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
One Joy Wilmarth Memorial Scholarship will be awarded in the fall semester of the school term. The recipient will be chosen on the basis of need, involvement with Wesley Foundation, and satisfactory academic progress. The scholarship is to be used for fees and will be paid directly to Northwest Missouri State University.
1. Application forms may be obtained from the campus minister(s) of Wesley Foundation.
2. Select two references to support your application. Applicant should supply stamped envelopes addressed to: Wesley Foundation

3. All application forms should be completed and returned to Wesley Foundation no later thanFebruary 8, 2018.
4. The scholarship committee will consider the applications and select the recipient.
5. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the annual End-of-the-Year Celebration at the Wesley Foundation.

Joy Wilmarth was a long-time member of the Wesley Foundation Board of Directors and a caring supporter of the university student through Wesley. Joy had an enthusiasm for life that was infectious and her Christian faith was evidenced by the life she shared with many. Her commitment to the Wesley Foundation at Northwest began with her involvement as a student and continued through her service on the Board of Directors.
Joy was diagnosed with cancer in the early 1990s and died in December of 2000. Her support and commitment to the Wesley Foundation continues through the establishment of this memorial scholarship. Her memory and spirit will live on with us as we annually present a deserving student with this scholarship. Gratitude is also extended to Joy’s husband, Hal, and to the rest of her family in the establishment of this scholarship.
