Wisconsin Statewide Model
David Cipra from the Wisconsin DOT joined us via video conference. He gave a presentation of Wisconsin’s experience in the development of a statewide model along with an overview of the model, and it’s use for state and local road forecasts. The centralized forecasting function utilizes a 1,800+ zone, statewide network with 12 nested MPO travel demand models, 6,000 regressions based on historical AADT’s, and indices for “expected growth and development” along each major segment in the state model.
