Friday & Sunday Class Title: Bias Box

(3” to 3 ½” “ dia. X 1 ½” tall)

Maximum of 10 Students Skill Level: Intermediate

(All stock will be supplied, precut Maple)

Class description: This 1-day class will incorporate safety, tool sharpening along with tooling techniques to create this very unique box. We will also be making jigs for the chuck to create the lid and eccentric finial.

Suggested tool list needed for each Participant:

½” Spindle Gouge (fingernail grind)¼” round skew

Parting ToolThin Kerf Parting Tool

½” or 5/8” Roughing Gouge Old table knife (stiff not thin/flexible)

Small Hollowing tools (5/8” opening)Safety Glasses

Vernier CalipersTape Rule & Pencil

Sandpaper (120 thru 600 grit)1-Golf Ball

Drill Chuck #2 Taper1/8” & ½” drill bit, & 5/8” Fostner Bit

Talon Chuck (or similar)Sense of Humor
