CADOTT VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 18, 2017
The Finance Committee met at 6:00 p.m. to audit the bills.
The regular meeting of the Cadott Village Board was called to order by President Anson Albarado. Trustees present were: Bart Chapek, Russ Falkenberg, Merle Huhn and Les Liptak. Absent: Randy Kuehni and Terry Licht. Public present: Kayla Peche (Reporter). The next regular Board meeting will be October 2, 1017 at 6:30 p.m.
A motion was made by Falkenberg and seconded by Liptak to approve the minutes of the September 5, 2017 Board meeting. MC.
A motion was made by Huhn and seconded by Liptak to approve the bills dated September 18, 2017. Motion by roll call. MC.
A motion was made by Chapek and seconded by Huhn to approve Dan Burns’ attendance at the annual WWOA conference. MC.
A motion was made by Liptak and seconded by Falkenberg to approve an operator license to Myisha Weggen at Spare Me Bar. MC.
Huhn reported that the public library is re-doing some of their policies.
A motion was made by Falkenberg and seconded by Huhn to recess into Closed Session: Per State Statute 19.85(1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility (Personnel).
A motion was made by Chapek and seconded by Huhn to adjourn the Closed Session and reconvene to Open Session. MC.
A motion was made by Liptak and seconded by Huhn to approve issues addressed in the Closed Session. Two ads will be run for the open positions. One ad for the Journeyman Lineman position and one for the General Laborer position. Approval was also given for an agreement (or Memorandum of Understanding) with Chippewa Valley Electric to help the Village out until a new journeyman lineman can be hired. The agreement that was signed by Ben Folczyk regarding pay back required under the Apprenticeship schooling will be honored. He will need to pay those funds back. The Apprenticeship Program agreement will also be updated with new language stating the employee (after receiving his Journeyman Certificate) will be required to stay employed with the Village of Cadott for 4 years. The pay back cost will be $6,000.00 and a stipulation will be added to have to give a 30-day notice of resignation. Jamie Larson will need to sign the apprenticeship form. He will not go down in pay when he starts the apprenticeship schooling. MC.
