o  Southside grant closed out savings at $22618

o  Danielle and BJ are waiting on Nancy’s check

o  The grant is more flexible than bank CDs and pays interest about 4-4.5% and smaller amounts can be drawn.

o  $20k is going to be transferred

o  To start an endowment $10k needs to be raised through fundrasiers and will be matched at 100% which will accrue about 6-8% - this is for the long term future.

o  Decided to give mugs for gifts to volunteers

o  Met with Jill and figured out accounting

§  Paid the county back the $32k borrowed.

o  Considering purchasing an 1860 pamphlet from the 6th annual Ingham county fair.

o  Resolved to accept $9k from MI Rural Development

·  There are 4 learning modules about 20 minutes each.

·  New volunteers in September have to take the orientation for sure.

·  On 4/13 it will become mandatory for volunteers

·  On 3/18 at the family center.

·  If interested with having a club attend, see Laura. Have to have 1 person per club to go. There will be activities for the representative to take back to the club.

§  Scrap booking met 2/20

§  Nazarene Church on Maple on 4/27/13 from 9am – 9pm for scrap booking/craft retreat.

§  There will be door prizes and grand prizes and a silent auction.

§  Admission will be $30 before the 4/15 deadline and $35 after or at the door.
