Emperor BIOGRAPHY CARD Project

Directions:

Using the resources in our library, you will construct a BIOGRAPHY CARD on the emperor you have selected at random. You will have FOUR days in the library to complete this project.

Requirements:

Research your emperor using the resources in the Library. While you are researching, complete the Biography questions attached.
Make sure you have as least THREE works cited. Of those works cited at least ONE of them MUST BE A PRINT SOURCE (AKA a book).
Please note that you must use credible sources. You may NOT use sources that are unreliable, such as Wikipedia, Ask.com, Yahoo Answers, etc. If you are not sure whether a website is credible, ask me and I will help you!
Complete an essay about your emperor. This essay should be one page in length, single-spaced, witha title placed at the top of the page. Spelling and grammar DO count!
Place the essay and a picture of your emperor on a piece on construction paper that I will provide for you.

ASSESSMENT:

Essay (30 points). Please follow the guidelines above and see the attached rubric for grading.
Construction/Appearance of the Bio card (10 points).
Biography questions (20 Points): Attach your research worksheet on the back of your bio card. Include 3 credible resources (Remember: at least ONE source must be a print source!).
Plagiarism: DON”T DO IT!!Plagiarism (copying your work and failing to cite your sources) will result in a score of zero plus appropriate disciplinary action.

* Please utilize your time wisely! You have been given 4 days to complete this project because that’s how long it typically takes to produce a thorough and complete project. If you waste time in the library, you will lose points.

* Internet usage: You should only be on websites that pertain to your emperor! If you are on any other website, I reserve the right to deduct points.
