Board
Board members at the end of the fiscal year were Dennis Cherry- President, Jennifer Ammons-Vice President, Shane Voss-Treasurer, Marcia Burress-Secretary, Thomas L’Heaureux, Shellee Stratton, Joyce Moorman, Steve Bove, and Melanie Fenn.
Program Staff
Doreen Winningham was the Executive Director, Cathy Poore was the Advocacy Manager, Jenny Cushing was the Youth Advocate, Natalie Betancourth was the Bilingual Advocate, Debi Fuller was the Bookkeeper, Cailyn Conklin was Advocate/Technology & Prevention and Bridget Barry was a temporary Intake Advocate. Additional program participants were Brian Smith-Intern, Faye Smith-Intern, Gary Nelson-Custodian through Senior Employment, Diana Rae Arthur-Reception trainee through Senior Employment, Sharon Swarthout-Reception trainee through Senior Employment.
Staff and volunteers who supported the 24-hour line were Doreen Winningham, Cathy Poore, Jenny Cushing, Natalie Betancourth, Bonnie Campbell, Rebecca Provost, Marcy Parks, Faye Smith, Chandra Johnson, Brian Smith, Cailyn Conklin, Sara Bowles, Melissa Poore, Billie Gross, Lyssa Hopkins, Shelly Birch and Ashley McCloskey.
Volunteer Training
Two Core trainings were held with 18 participants. Nine continued as staff or volunteers for Beyond Survival.
Client Services
One hundred thirty-seven new clients received services during the fiscal year. There were 187 unduplicated clients served. There were 1937 client contacts made. There were 205 prevention activities provided, with a participant count of 5756. There were 39 participants in five groups and 13 clients received individual therapy. There were 1283 information & referral and crisis intervention calls answered by Beyond Survival staff, volunteers and program participants. There were 112 secondary victims served.
Community Outreach
During fiscal year 2011, Beyond Survival collaborated with many community agencies and organizations through meetings, forums, presentations and other community events including, but not limited to
