Translating Knowledge into Healthcare Improvement
at the Frontline:
Learning from Intermountain Healthcare.
Online Seminar - led by Dr Brent James, Chief Quality Officer and Executive Director, Institute for Health Care Delivery Research, Intermountain Healthcare.
7th May, 4.00 pm – 5.30 pm – by videoconference and webex.
We are delighted to offer NHS Scotland staff a unique opportunity to participate in this online seminar, led by Dr Brent James, the internationally renowned thought leader in quality improvement and patient safety.
Dr James has led Intermountain Healthcare in embedding “living guidelines” which combine research knowledge with insights from frontline practice and the lived experience of clinical teams, patients and carers. This new form of best evidence has been translated into over 50 clinical care processes with high reliability and clinician compliance, making it easy for frontline clinicians to “do the right thing, every time.”
Dr James has generously agreed to share the Intermountain experience in implementing this new knowledge paradigm in order to support our NHSScotland Knowledge into Action Review.
This seminar will be of interest to clinicians of all disciplines, improvement practitioners, knowledge managers and others who want to translate knowledge into safe, effective and person-centred frontline care.
We aim to make the seminar available both by videoconference and WebEx, with videoconference being Dr James’ preferred medium. We therefore recommend that if possible you book group videoconferencing facilities for this time.
Please provide with details of your name, job title, NHS Board and email address if you plan to participate in this seminar, so that we can provide you with connection details nearer the time.
