26.For applicants pursuing performer training courses, please describe in not less than 800 words the following:

27. For applicants pursuing non-performing music-related studies, please submit a proposal in not less than 1200 words on the intended course of study embracing the information required under item 26 above.

28. Language proficiency - please list the entrance language requirement at the intended place of study and the results of any relevant language examination (such as IELTS and TOEFL) with date. Applicants are advised to take the relevant language examinations early because at the time when the Fund offers scholarships to the selected applicants, they should have met the entrance language requirement.

34.Applicants applying for performer training courses will be required to play three music pieces of your own choice, lasting for ten minutes in total and preferably of contrasting styles and varying periods. These music pieces can be either complete works or excerpts. Applicants who are unable to perform at the audition due to sickness/injuryare required to submit an appropriate medical certificate on the day of the audition before the scheduled commencement time of the audition for the Audition Panel’s consideration.

36. Applicants applying for non-performing studies (other than music composition) are required to provide two pieces of their written works in the form of study reports, essays or dissertations and forward them to the Fund. These applicants (such as those who are applying for conducting) are advised that the inclusion of audio/video recordings relevant to their work of at least three pieces will facilitate the Fund’s assessment of their applications.

39.Notes onHandling of Information and Personal Data supplied in the application

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund (HKJCMDF) is serviced by the Home Affairs Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The data in the application form is supplied by the applicant voluntarily. The applicant may be asked to provide additional information to help the HKJCMDF to process the application. However, if the applicant does not provide sufficient information, the HKJCMDF may be unable to process the application any further.

The personal data which the applicant provides by means of this application form will be retained by the HKJCMDF for the purpose of processing this application for scholarships of the HKJCMDF and the compilation of the relevant statistics and materials for publicity and review of the scholarships. It may be divulged to other organisations for the same purposes.

In submitting and signing this application, the applicant authorises the HKJCMDF to contact any organisations for the purpose of obtaining or exchanging any information and for comparing or verifying the information provided by the applicant with other information which the HKJCMDF may collect.
