2017 Christmas Parade
The Terrell Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau cordially invites you to participate in the Stanley Ballard Senior Christmas Parade. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9 and will begin promptly at 10 a.m. The theme for the 2017 parade is:“Peace on Earth”
This is a very popular event in our city and we sincerely hope you will accept our invitation to be included.

PARADE ENTRIES:
Floats (Traditional Christmas, Parade Theme, Religious and Youth) must report to Terrell High School football stadium parking lot for float number and judging.
Elected Official Cars (Cars, signs drivers will be providedONLY to Grand Marshal, Mayor, City Council, County Judge, Dist. Judges, county commissioners, state representatives and U.S. Congressmen). All other elected officials are welcome to participate, but they must provide their own car, driver and signs. (Lineup is at the 9th St. Stadium Entrance)
Riding Clubs and Horse Entries (Lineup is at the Ben Gill Baseball parking lot)
Bands and Drill Teams (Lineup is at the Musser Parking Lot on 9th St.)
Antique cars (25 years or older)-Lineup is at the stadium parking lot)
Entry numbers will be given on the day of the parade to the entries to be judged as you enter the stadium for lineup. Any other parade entries may be accepted at the discretion of the parade marshal. Late entries must report to the parade marshal a minimum of one hour before the scheduled start time for permission to enter. Permission is not guaranteed.
RULES:
Four wheelers/go carts will not be allowed, with exception of the Hella Shriners
No candy or items can be thrown from floats or cars
Only one Santa Claus, coordinated by Chamber, will be allowed in parade
All music coming from floats must be traditional Christmas or religious
In the event of inclement weather, the parade will not be rescheduled
All entries need to be decorated in Christmas décor or parade theme
AWARDS:
Awards (floats only) will be presented before the parade. Three trophies are awarded in each of the four float classes. A trophy also is given to the most original entry.
HELPFUL INFORMATION:
Designate a place prior to the start of the parade as a “drop off” point, only parade entries will be allowed on the stadium parking lot. Designate a place prior to the start of the parade as a “pick-up” point for riders on the float. There are several church parking lots along N. Adelaide (where the parade turns off at the end of the route)
Judging (floats only) will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the staging area
