As of itsinception, the K-droz Association has promotedways for novelty in artisticcreations.
Contemporarymaterials and techniques have been put forwardin 5 competitions:
- Triton d’Or, for cardboardworksin 2013. 2015. 2017.
- Machine-made works of art in 2014.
- Kinetic art in 2016.
These 5 contests have generatedseveral exhibitions in Europe: Paris, Hamm and Münster in Germany, London, Antikira in Greece.
In 2018, reclaimedmaterial Art willbe the theme.
Contest
The competitionis open to all.
Applications willbereceived by E-mail at no charge.
The theme of the competition is open
The workshouldbemostly made of reclaimedelements, in particularits visible elements.
As reclaimedelements, one shouldundertandmaterial or objectswhich have already been in use, thendiscarded.
The selection of the winners willbebased on:
- Creativity of the presentedwork: meaning, concept, originality, sustainability, aesthetics
- Quality in itsmaking: use of reclaimedmaterialproperties, cutting, forming, assembly, finishing, overall concept
- The artist`scommitment to the artisticcreation.
The jury, whosedecisions are final, willbecomprised of artists, visual art experts and curatorschiefly:

- Pierre Chirouze, President of the K-drozartistic association
-Jean-Marc Introvigne, curator
-Claudine Fournier, painter
- Gela Chmelar, curator
- Antoine Bechara, visualartist

- PolyxeneKasda, visualartist
- Jean Lesage, art enthusiast
-Olivier Millerioux, visualartist
-Rafael Monreal, architect
-Aurélie Caperan, visualartist
The jury reserves the right to requestadditional information fromapplicants.
Metamorphosisoffers a 500 € prize, to beawarded to the winner.
Up to 10 artistswillbecommended and receiveacknowledgement of theirworkwith media coverage in several countries and an exhibition of the photos in a gallery in Paris, France.
Severalworks fromprecedingcompetitions have been acquired by collectors.
Application file
For practicalreasons, the contestisbased on photos supplied by the artist / candidate. Picture quality is then essential.
Every candidate must send a single Word or Pdf file of the completed form - attached
The form should be e-mailed to by 3rd April 2018.
The results of the contest will be made available on K-droz’s site as of 11th April 2018.
K-droz and its sponsors may freely make use of the photos sent by the candidates and will credit the artist at all times. The images will be used for the promotion of the artist, and the association, of cardboard art.
In particular, K-droz and its sponsors forbid themselves to use them for commercial (sales) purposes.
