Service Technician Daily Checklist
TASK WEEK# / M / T / W / T / F / SDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / 1 / Receive repair orders from the Service Assistant out of the corral and take to stall area
2 / Perform repairs efficiently and accurately, in compliance with dealership and factory standards
3 / Diagnose cause of any malfunction and advise the parts department of needed parts.
4 / Save and tag parts of jobs under warranty or if requested by the customer.
5 / Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
6 / Advise service advisor immediately of any issues, such as additional work needed, or if work outlined is not necessary, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
7 / Document work performed accurately and thoroughly.
8 / Road-test vehicles when required.
9 / Handle all customer comebacks quickly and professionally.
10 / Ensure that the unit tagging system being properly utilized.
11 / Ensure that all R.O.'s. have the 3 “C”’s listed. (complaint, cause, correction)
12 / Ensure that customers’ units are kept clean and protected from cosmetic damage.
13 / Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
14 / Utilize proper corral procedure daily.
15 / Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
16 / Work with Service Assistant or Manager to suggest preventative maintenance or accessory upsells.
