GOLF INVITATION
ELMER J. FULLER MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Tuesday, 10 JUNE 2014
The Lexington-Concord Chapter of AFCEA is proud to sponsor the Elmer J. Fuller Memorial Golf Tournament on Tuesday, 10 June 2014 at the Marlboro Country Club (www.marlboroughcountryclub.com) in Marlboro, MA. The tournament is named in honor of Elmer Fuller, a long-time friend and supporter of the Hanscom Community who served as past President and Chairman of the Board of the Lexington-Concord Chapter of AFCEA. Marlboro C.C. was Elmer’s home course and he proudly served as President and Member of its Board of Directors.
We’ll have two formats of play – scramble and “play your own ball” – with four (4) flights. These include two (2) open scramble, one (1) mentorship scramble, and one (1) play your own ball with a “two best ball” variant. The foursomes playing their own ball will use the two lowest scores for each hole. We will award three (3) trophies: 1) the Elmer Fuller trophy to the low gross scramble team; 2) the Tommy Longtine trophy to the low-gross Lexington-Concord Chapter AFCEA member; and 3) the Eugene C. Brooks trophy to the low gross scramble AFCEA Mentorship Team. The Mentorship Team is defined as a team consisting of both senior and junior personnel. The Brooks trophy was introduced five years ago and provides encouragement to senior leaders (both Government and Industry) to mentor our younger Military and Government civilian personnel. The awards dinner will be held at the tournament's conclusion at Marlboro Country Club.
The entry fee for industry participants is $175.00. The fee for military and Government civilians in grades 0-4/GS-13 and above is $75.00 per person for current AFCEA members, and $95.00 per person for non-members (includes a one time one-year membership). The entry fee for military and Government civilians in grades 0-3/GS-12 and below is $60.00 per person. Non-AFCEA members who qualify as Young AFCEANs (age 40 and below) will be provided a new membership as part of the $60 registration fee. Entry fees cover expenses (greens fees, golf cart, dinner, door prizes, coffee and doughnuts) plus a contribution to the AFCEA Fellowship and ROTC Awards Programs. Again this year we are looking for individuals or companies to sponsor this event. Hole Sponsorship ($350) includes placement of a sign prominently identifying your company as a sponsor for that hole. A breakfast or lunch sponsor ($350) will receive recognition at the golf banquet and in the program.
There will be a raffle for prizes and each player will receive a memento of the occasion.
Cut-off date for all transactions will be Friday, 6 June 2014. Scoring instructions will be furnished to you upon check in. If you desire further information please call:
