Family and friends, we welcome you today to witness the marriage of Frank Notturno and Pam Siira. You have shared and contributed to their lives in the past, and by witnessing their marriage ceremony today, Frank and Pam ask that you share in their future. Today’s ceremony has been written not by me but by both Frank, and Pam together.
Marriage is a promise, made in the hearts of two people who love each other, which takes a lifetime to fulfill. Within the circle of its love, marriage encompasses all of life's mostimportant relationships.
As a symbol of their love for each other. Frank and Pam wish to present eachother with a "circle of love", a ring.
...... FRANK: Pam, as I place this ring on your finger, may it always remind you of my never ending love
and may it always remind me of the precious treasure I have in you.
...... PAM: Frank, as I place this ring on your finger, may it always remind you of my never ending love
and may it always remind me of the precious treasure I have in you.
Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens. A good marriage must be created, practiced and maintained. It requires the combined efforts of both people.
In the Art of Marriage:
You do the little things.
You never have a reason NOT to hold hands.
You say "I love you" daily, and you mean it.
You never go to sleep angry, nor do you allow your partner to do so.
You never take the other for granted.
Your objectives are common and sense of values is mutual.
You stand together facing the world.
You form a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
You do for each other, not because of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy.
You speak words of appreciation and demonstrate gratitude in thoughtful ways.
You cultivate flexibility, patience, understanding, and a sense of humor.
You forgive and forget.
You create an atmosphere in which each can grow.
You search for the good and the beautiful.
You establish a relationship in which independence is equal, dependence is mutual and obligation is reciprocal.
You not only marry the right partner, you become the right partner.
Frank and Pam wish to practice the Art of Marriage. In doing so, they choose to be each other's lover, teacher, listener, critic, and most of all best friend.
If there is anyone present who can show just cause as to why this couple may or should not be legally joined together, you should now declare it, or hereafter hold your peace.
Frank and Pam have chosen to symbolize their commitment to each other using two roses and a vase. The vase symbolizes the life they shall create together. It is strong enough to hold this new life forever, yet it is fragile and can be broken if neglected.
Pam do you wish to enter into a union with Frank and thereby create a new life together?
...... PAM: "I do" and she places her rose into the vase
Frank do you wish to enter into a union with Pam and thereby create a new life together?
...... Frank: "I do" and he places his rose into the vase
(BOB) Hold the vase up for all to see
Frank and Pam, you have committed yourselves to enter into this new life together as demonstrated by the vase and roses. Do you commit yourselves to maintain the strength of this union, and not allow it to break?
.....Frank and Pam: "We do"
Frank and Pam take the vase from Bob and hold it up together for all to see, then place it back on the table
As Frank and Pam have demonstrated their love and commitment to each other and their new life together through the exchange of rings, and their joining of roses in the vase, they would also like to demonstrate their love and commitment to Frank's son, Frankie, who will also share in this life together as a family.
.....Frank and Pam: Frankie, this medallion is a symbol of the love we share together for you and the joy you bring into our lives.
We commit ourselves to do everything in our power to care and provide for you to maintain your health, happiness and success, as a member of our family.
Frank and Pam, in front of all of these witnesses, you have demonstrated your love and commitment for each other, your union and your family.
Therefore, it is my honor and pleasure to pronounce you, husband and wife.
You may seal this ceremony with a kiss!
Ladies and Gentleman I introduce to you now the Notturno Family.
