Pen-drawing of the Michael Bosak´s School 2013/2014
The first well-known new building of the State People´s School in EuroCentralRegion (Czech Republic, Slovak republic, Lesser Poland Voivodeship-Poland, Podkarpackie Voivodeship-Poland, Zakarpattia Oblast-Ukraine, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County-Hungary, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County-Hungary) after the WWI built by the American – European philanthropist and banker Michael Bosak in his birth village Okrúhle in ŠarišRegion and was donated to the state in the summer 1925. The children have been taught there till now. The building roof is leaking. The Michal Bosak Society has made efforts to include it in the List of Cultural Monuments and its complex safeguarding for the future generations as an example of philanthropy also for contemporary businessmen.

Question:Does the school have to be drawn only in the form of period picture?
Answer: No, it doesn´t, we expect creative input of the young artists; the school can be presented in the presence or in the future.

Question:Could students focus on interior?
Answer:Yes, they could, we would again appreciate creative approach to the past, present and future times.

Question:Could the building be revived with figural composition?
Answer:Sure, we will appreciate decorative or geometrical composition and latest technology utilization (interactive table, display, etc.).

Question:Can the pen-drawing be combined with paste-up method?
Answer:In the past, we would like to issue the winning works as post stamps. There fore we would like to maintain clean technique, i.e. classical pen-drawing, rendered pen-drawing and color pen-drawing.

Question:Is the emblem of the people´s school in Okrúhle binding for painting interpretation? Answer:The school logo as such is binding but we will appreciate if the state people´s school in Okrúhle is an impulse for further painting processing.

Question:Could I submit more than one picture in the competition?
Answer:Yes, you can.
7. Daniel Hajtinger,student of Basic school Lesnícka 1, Prešov,9th class, 15 years of age, the 2nd rank in the competition - the Michal Bosák´s Pen-drawing 2008.
Question:I am 15 and half, can I join the competition?
Answer:Unfortunately, you cannot, only children younger than 15 years of age can join the competition according to the propositions. In the future, we would like to extent the participants age structure up to 18 years of age.
8. Question:Do the works have to be mounted?
Answer:No, it´s enough to send them in A3 format.
9. Question:Could an authors´ team join the competition?
Answer:Unfortunately not, the competition is focused on individual painting expression.
