POST OF ASSESSOR – HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE (CHILDCARE/EARLY YEARS EDUCATOR)
JOB PURPOSE
To provide work based and College based training and assessment to Apprentices, Employees and trainees in the Health & Social Care sector with specialism in Childcare/Early Years Educator Sector. A qualification in Assessing would be ideal but not essential.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide support and assessment to candidates undertaking Children and Young People’s Workforce and Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Programmes and Diploma’s
Provide support and assessment to candidates undertaking Childcare Apprenticeship Programmes and Diploma’s
Manage a caseload of learners to timely achieve their qualifications.
Working with internal and external verifiers to assure the quality of the programmes
Effectively and efficiently undertaking the administrative tasks required by internal systems and external bodies
Promoting the college and its activities as an integral part of communications with existing and potential clients
Contributing to the development of programmes aimed at the childcare sector
To assist in the delivery of distance learning programmes within the childcare sector.
RESPONSIBLE TO
Business Services Manager
GENERAL
- Implement the College’s current Quality Assurance systems.
- Participate in staff training, development and appraisal systems to enhance personal performance and organisational effectiveness.
- Adherence to College policy on Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety.
- Team participation: all members of teams are required to contribute to ensure team responsibilities are discharged as effectively as possible.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the business customers
- Any other duties appropriate to nature and grade of post.

Terms and Conditions
Salary:£19,317 - £20,937
Hours of work: 15 hours per week
Holidays:25 days per annum plus stator bank holidays rising to 30 on completion of 5 years’ service
