Firstconfirmation: Bruno Mars to headline Rock in Rio-Lisboa 2018

The celebrated artist, multiple GRAMMY Award winner and 20-time Grammy Award nominee,will steal the show at June 24th, closing festival’s second night.

Rock in Rio-Lisboais back at Bela Vista Park during June 23, 24, 29 and 30 2018, offering a new venue with great novelties such as new entertainment stages and spaces.

The countdown for the 8th edition of Rock in Rio-Lisboa has already begun and the festival’s organization has just announced its first headliner! Bruno Marswill take over the Main Stage of the City of Rock on June 24th, closing the festival’s second night.

This is the second time that the celebrated singer, songwriter, producer and musician plays at Rock in Rio (his previous show was at Rock in Rio USA, in Las Vegas, 2015). Three years later, the artist who sold over 1 million tickets in a single day after unveiling his massive "24K Magic World Tour",will steal the showat Rock in Rioonce again, for a concert that will definitely be “too good to say goodbye”.

Rock in Rio-Lisboa8th edition will happen in 2018,June23rd, 24th, 29th and 30th,and promises to transform the site in a massive theme park for music, where several unique experiences take place, with anastonishing program that combines the bestof entertainment.For this upcoming edition the festival will not only havemore hours of daily entertainment (with the venue opening earlier - from 12pm to 2am) as well asnew entertainment stages and concepts.

Pop District is a thematic area that celebrates the pop culture and its icons. The mood of this new block will definitely spread to the whole venue but it will be here that the public will find such attractions: games – from modern to arcade; stores selling products alluding cultural icons from the last decades; performances and artistic demonstrations as musicals, super heroes, pop art shows, movie references, even cosplay and many more.Digital Stage isa new stage dedicated to digital phenomenon, bringing some of the online world to the offline one. It will receive big online entertainment phenomenon performances that, for a short period, will leave computers, Smartphones and tablets’ screens to appear in flesh and bone, right in front of its audience. These are stars who use the social media as their primary communication and interaction channel and who are followed and admired by millions of fans around the world. On this stage people will see musical presentations, dance, cinema and other performances that are online successes. Gourmet Square is the new food plazaoffering more comfort to its visitors, with about 500 seating positions and10 food corners, in a more exclusive space with controlled access.Rock Street Africa is a thematic street where people can find unmatched performances and artistic expressions, besides being one of the most festive spots of the venue where the public feels more involved and has the chance to interact with the shows and its artists. This edition Rock Street will be celebrating the music in a global way. Through architecture, shows and street performances it will demonstrate how African rhythm has influenced all music genres, especially those present at Rock in Rio’s other stages
