10 Horn Unions: Daniel 7:24

“The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings.”

Headline:France and Germany moving towards closer political union

Last year Germany went out on a limb by calling for political union in Europe. The idea was met with little enthusiasm elsewhere in the eurozone, but particularly in France. After the election of French President Francois Hollande in May, it seemed thatviews of the EU's foremost political duo could not be further apart. But the mood has since changed and serious plans are underway to create – if not a full political union – then something close to it.

Watching the evolution from the inside is Thomas Wieser, an Austrian economist who prepares the regular meetings of the eurozone finance ministers."There will be consultations with the member states in the second half of September in Brussels and I think you will be surprised in the autumn by the degree of movement that will have taken place in some member states,” he tells this website.

Economic collapse Revelation 6:5-6 & James 5:1-3- Decline of the Euro

“Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. 42And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.”

Headline:France: wide debt spreads may justify ECB action

The wide sovereign debt spreads of some euro zone nations may justify a market intervention by the European Central Bank in the name of ensuring the smooth transmission of monetary policy, French President Francois Hollande said on Thursday. "The ECB's mandate include price stability and monetary policy. When you see such wide gaps in yields, that could be a justification for an intervention in the name of monetary policy," Hollande told a news conference after meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy in Madrid.

Economic collapse Revelation 6:5-6 & James 5:1-3- Worldwide

“When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”

Headline: Jobless Claims in U.S. Unchanged Last Week at One-Month High

More Americans than forecast filed applications for unemployment benefits last week, a sign that progress in the labor market is faltering amid a slowing economy. Jobless claims were little changed at 374,000 in the week ended Aug. 25, matching the upwardly revised figure from the prior week, the Labor Department reported today in Washington. The median forecast of 50 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News called for 370,000. The four-week moving average, a less volatile measure, climbed to a six-week high.

Headline:Food Supply Adequate to Forestall Price Crisis, World Bank Says

Further weather disruptions or rising energy costs could increase grain costs already at a record, while current supplies may be ample enough to forestall unrest caused by high food prices, the World Bank said. The worst U.S. drought since the 1950s sparked a 10 percent gain in the World Bank’s Food Price Index in July, the organization said today in a monthly report. Corn and soybean prices last month exceeded records in 2008, when food riots erupted in African and Middle Eastern countries. While drought in the former Soviet Union and weak monsoon rains in India are contributing to crop concerns, stable rice prices argue against a crisis situation, the bank said. That could change should energy costs increase or bad weather persist. “World Bank experts do not currently foresee a repeat of 2008,” the multinational organization said in its report. Bans on exports, continued dry weather, poor harvests in South America or higher energy costs would worsen the situation, the bank said. “The jury is still out, for now.”

Comment: Please listen to the Lord and NOT the World Bank; the price of ground beef alone has gone up from $1.99lb last year to almost $4.lb this year

Headline:The Guns of October’: Report forecasts Gulf war by late 2012

The United States could become involved in a major war in the Gulf in 2012, a report said. The Lexington Institute said Washington and other NATO states could be swept into a war with Iran over the next few months. The Washington-based institute said the military buildup throughout the Gulf lacked only a trigger for the eruption of fighting. “Teheran is expanding, dispersing and hardening its nuclear enrichment program and trying to find a way around sanctions before its domestic economy is crippled,” the report, titled “The Guns of October — in the Persian Gulf,” said.Dated Aug. 24, the report cited the eve of World War I in 1914 when the European powers undertook a massive military buildup. Lexington said Iran, determined to advance its nuclear program, and much of the Gulf, fueled by the high price of energy, were conducting similar activities in preparation of war.

Federal health officials say that West Nile virus cases are up 40 percent since last week and are on pace to rival the record years of 2002 and 2003. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed 1,590 cases of the mosquito-borne disease and 66 deaths so far this year. Half of the cases are in Texas.Health officials think that cases have peaked or are peaking now, but likely will continue through October. The disease first appeared in the United States in 1999, and health officials say this summer's hot, dry weather may have contributed to the current boom in cases. The CDC also says it does not expect Hurricane Isaac to have much of an impact on cases in Southern states.

Headline:Alarming levels of drug-resistant TB found worldwide

Headline:‘Virtually Untreatable’ tuberculosis threat rising, studyfinds

Scientists have found an alarming number of cases of the lung disease tuberculosis in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America that are resistant to up to four powerful antibiotic drugs. In a large international study published in the Lancet medical journal on Thursday, researchers found rates of both multi drug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) and extensively drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB) were higher than previously thought and were threatening global efforts to curb the spread of the disease. "Most international recommendations for TB control have been developed for MDR-TB prevalence of up to around 5 percent. Yet now we face prevalence up to 10 times higher in some places, where almost half of the patients ... are transmitting MDR strains," Sven Hoffner of the Swedish Institute for Communicable Disease Control, said in a commentary on the study. TB is already a worldwide pandemic that infected 8.8 million people and killed 1.4 million in 2010. Drug-resistant TB is more difficult and costly than normal TB to treat, and is more often fatal.

Scorching Sun Isaiah30:26 & Revelation 16:8-9

“Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.”

Headline:California Heatwaves to Move Toward Coastal Areas

A new study by researchers at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego, suggests that the nature of California heatwaves is changing due to global warming. Climate researchers Alexander Gershunov and Kristen Guirguis detected a trend toward more humid heatwaves that are expressed very strongly in elevated nighttime temperatures, a trend consistent with climate change projections. Moreover, relative to local warming, the mid-summer heatwaves are getting stronger in generally cooler coastal areas. This carries implications for the millions of Californians living near the ocean whose everyday lives are acclimated to moderate temperatures.

Headline: Christian Family Beheaded, Christians Attacked At Funeral in Syria

A terrorist attack hit innocent Christian faithful and innocent Druzes in the area of Jaramana, a suburb of Damascus: yesterday, August 28, at 2 pm, a bomb in a car was detonated while a crowd of faithful, families, elderly people, women and children, were heading to the cemetery to bury two young people. The two had died the day before, on August 27, also victims of an IED. As the crowd, after the funeral, was accompanying the deceased to the burial, a taxi exploded causing 12 deaths (according to other sources 27), including 5 children, and injuring more than 50 people. In Jarmana about 600 thousand people live, mostly religious minorities: there are 250 thousand Christians (Assyrians, Armenians, Chaldeans, Melkites, Orthodox and other denominations), as well as Druzes and about 120 thousand Iraqi refugees, who fled to Syria in past years.

Syriac clerics call on Christians in Middle East, especially those in Syria, to avoid leaving their homelands amid harsh violence. Headline:6.6earthquake off coast of Greenland

A magnitude-6.6 earthquake struck today off the east coast of Greenland, the U.S. Geological Survey reports. The USGS, which initially reported the quake as a magnitude-7.0, says it was followed eight minutes later by a magnitude-5.2 quake in the region. The nearest community to the epicenter is Olonkinbyen, a small weather and radio station on the island of Jan Mayen in the Norwegian Sea about 58 miles to the southeast. The second quake was located 14 miles east of the island.

Headline:Major earthquakes strike near north and southpoles

A powerful 6.8magnitude earthquake erupted in the Jan Mayen Island region of the Arctic Circle, north of Iceland. The earthquake had a depth of 9.9 km (6.2 miles) and was followed by a 5.2 magnitude aftershock. Seismic turbulence has been increasing in the Arctic Circle in the month of August, as seen from the map above. On August 14, a – 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck in the Sea of Okhotsk near NE Russia. Today’s 6.8 magnitude Arctic earthquake was preceded by double moderate tremors along the Western Indian-Antarctica Ridge in the 5.4 and 5.0range. The seismic dynamism that has the planet reeling, from pole to pole, increases the potential for most seismic disturbances along the Nazca plate of South America, the Cocos plate, along Central America; and, or the SW region of the U.S. near the Gulf of California, where the Pacific and North American plate are experiencing increased agitation.

Headline: 4.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Los Angelesregion

The 4.1 earthquake that jolted Yorba Linda on Wednesday afternoon appears to be an aftershock of the cluster of quakes that hit the region earlier this month, seismologists said. The jolted area included southeastern Los Angeles County, Orange County and the Inland Empire. The quake occurred in about the same location of an earthquake doublet, two 4.5 quakes that occurred on Aug. 7 at 11:23 p.m. and Aug. 8 at 9:33 a.m. The area was also hit by a 4.0 quake on June 14. Wednesday’s quake, which hit at 1:31 p.m., was located near the center point of the magnitude-5.5 Chino Hills earthquake that reverberated through the Los Angeles Basin in the summer of 2008
