11th Annual Health Policy Legislative Forum

Legislative Proposal Submission Form
NMPHA convenes this statewide Health Policy Legislative Forum every year to bring together organizations and individuals involved and interested in health policy and/or who are advocating for specific legislative initiatives in the New Mexico Legislature. The Forum provides an opportunity to share potential and proposed legislation, to build alliances and find partners, and to learn more about the legislative process in New Mexico. In addition, workshops on special topics are presented to encourage dialogue and deepen our awareness.
If you submit your legislative proposal to the NMPHA Policy Forum our hope and expectation is that you will present it “in person” in 2-3 minutes at the Forum on December 10th, 2014. This is a chance to practice your “elevator speech” in front of friends and colleagues. The Forum runs from 8am-5pm at the Embassy Suites in Albuquerque with thelegislative proposals presented from about 10:30-11:30 am. If you plan to present, please also plan to register for and participate fully in the Forum. There will be half day and scholarship options available. Each year a booklet is published with information on all the legislative proposals that are presented during the Health Policy Legislative Forum.
After the Forum, the Policy Committee will determine the level of support we are able to provide for the legislation and make a recommendation to the NMPHA Board for approval.
